Value of the Month
– Self-Belief –
Self-belief is essential for success, yet it can sometimes be challenging to nurture. Have you ever noticed that some people seem to have more selfbelief than others?
Teachers play a crucial role in fostering this value in children. They can either build up a child's confidence or unintentionally diminish it.
For example, did you know that a teacher once told Matt Groening—creator of The Simpsons—to "stop wasting your time doodling and drawing silly stories"? Today, The Simpsons is celebrated as one of the greatest TV shows of the 20th century, according to Time magazine. Matt Groening's success is a testament to his own self-belief, despite that early criticism.
At Coldfall, we understand the importance of nurturing self-belief in our students. While it's inevitable that we all face negativity from time to time, we encourage our children to believe in their abilities and pursue their dreams—no matter how "silly" others may think they are. Together, we can help our children grow into confident individuals who know their potential is limitless.
