 Walk to School Month

October is Walk to School Month where we can celebrate the many benefits of walking, including improvements to our health and the environment. If you have to drive, please try to park safely away from the school entrance and ensure that you leave enough time to have a 5 to 10-minute walk to school. This will not only reduce congestion, pollution and safety around the school gates but it will encourage children to walk more.

To celebrate the start of ‘Walk to School Month’, Tuesday, 3rd October will be ‘Happy Shoes Day’.  The children can wear their favourite pair of ‘happy’ shoes to school (no heels, please) to make it even more fun to walk to school.  We hope you will support your children in walking, scooting or cycling to school as often as possible throughout October.

  • Coffee morning

5th October, Thursdays 9.00am to 9.30am – Parents and Carers are invited for a Coffee morning in the training room. We will be sharing how we intend to provide more opportunities for creative play during lunchtimes.

  • School Lunch – Seasonal Taster Day

5th October – Jacket Potato Day with Beef Chilli Con Carne or Vegetable Korma, Cheese, Beans or Tuna Mayo – Take your pick! All comes with a chunky salad and you can have Chocolate Cake and custard for dessert!
