Value of the Month

– Courage

Courage is the act of taking action in spite of fear. It’s knowing full well that something will be tricky or  hard but doing it anyway, because it’s the right thing to do. These are mostly not dramatic acts like you see in the movies but much more mundane and every day. In my role I sometimes have to summon up my courage when I need to have those ‘difficult’ conversations with people. It can be hard but it’s easier by coming back to the principle  of always acting in the best interests of the children. For our children, activities like those on our Tollesbury school journey come to mind, as vital opportunities to instil courage, enabling them to overcome some of their fears.
