Value of the Month
– Hard Work –
The Year 6 school journey to Tollesbury is such memorable experience for the children! I was privileged to attend with Toucan Class this year and saw them face up to challenges and achieve more than they thought they could – whether it be keeping their room tidy, trying marmalade for the first time or overcoming their pangs of homesickness. Well done to you all Year 6 – we are proud of you.
As it is our value of the month for November I would like to acknowledge the hard work put in by our staff to make it such a successful, happy and positive experience. Teachers were on duty for 24 hours a day for a full 5 days in a row. Each of the members of staff who attended put Coldfall children before themselves and their own families. They do this whole-heartedly and in the best interests of our children. My thanks to: Mr Browning, Miss Buckley, Mr Hylton, Miss Macaldowie, Mr Mason, Miss Bruce, Miss Ascanio and Mr Descrettes.
It’s worth pointing out that this role-modelling of hard work helps to build a strong work ethic in children. This more than anything else helps them to achieve. As the businesswoman Estee Lauder said ‘I never dreamed about success, I worked for it.’
