Safeguarding
At Coldfall, we support all children by promoting a caring, safe and positive environment, developing self-esteem and positive attitudes to learning.
It is imperative that all staff receive regular safeguarding training over the course of the year. Our main priority is to work alongside parents and carers; however, there may be times when we have to involve other agencies. Everybody has a responsibility to keep all children under the age of 18 safe.
'Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is defined for the purposes of this guidance as: protecting children from maltreatment; preventing impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development; ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care; and taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.' – Keeping Children Safe in Education
Safeguarding referrals may lead to Child and Family Assessments. See below for information on how these work.
