Whole School:

• Please remember that the start of the next school year is Wednesday 6th September. The first days back at school are hugely important to the children and must not be missed. Please bear this in mind when arranging trips away.
• School is closed on 5th and 7th July due to NEU Teacher strike action.

Reception – You are invited to a ‘Reception to Year 1’ transition meeting on Monday 3rd July at 9am in the Lower Hall. During the meeting, we will let you know how the Reception Team are currently preparing the children for the next stage of their school journey. It will also be an opportunity to meet Ms Roberts, our Year 1 Team Leader, who will be sharing with you how the year group works and will outline the key differences between the Early Years and Year 1. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about how we support you and your child with this transition.

Year 2 – This is a reminder for our trip on 4th July.  The weather is showing as a chance of rain.  As there is no undercover shelter at Aldenham Park, please provide your child with a rain jacket with hood and sturdy shoes such as trainers.  If the forecast changes and we are forecast sun, please provide children with a sunhat and apply sunscreen before sending them to school.

Children and parent/carer helpers should arrive at school at 8.30am. Children will need a packed lunch and bottle of water (no glass please) in a rucksack.  Lunches should not contain any nuts.

If your child requires hay fever medication, please administer this before they arrive at school.

 Year 4 – Monday 3rd July is Year 4 Anglo Saxon day.
